Patricia Argoff, a registered nurse with master's degrees in both Herbal Medicine and Public Health, and her husband Charles, a neurologist and pain management specialist, bring you a unique blend of scientific insight and herbal knowledge.
Hailing from Long Island, the Argoff family found their way to the Albany area 16 years ago. Patricia and Charles, drawn to the Village of Catskill during the pandemic, recognized its energy and creativity as the perfect community for their herbal venture. In July 2022, Stinging Nettle Apothecary emerged. The store was named after the versatile, nutritious stinging nettle—a metaphorical reminder to approach herbalism with caution and respect, and that not all things are what they first seem to be.
The Argoffs seamlessly wove their professional backgrounds into the fabric of Stinging Nettle Apothecary. Patricia's herbal expertise and nursing background combined with Charles's medical proficiency come together for an evidence-based approach to holistic health and wellness. The apothecary acts as a tapestry, merging the couple's diverse skills to offer customers a holistic perspective where herbalism complements allopathic medicine.
Patricia spearheads research, development, and customer interactions, while Charles actively manages business aspects and engages customers. Their daughter Melanie works as the Assistant Manager and on creating her popular beauty♡botanics line. Even the tech and artistic aspects are covered by their son and youngest daughter, reflecting a true labor of love. Stinging Nettle is more than a store; it's a family project!
